A clean, dry and oil -and –paint- free nail will prevent the fiberglass from lifting.
• Cut a piece of fiberglass the size of the particular nails. It should be wide enough to cover the entire nail bed and a little longer than the nail..
• Remove the backer of the fiber glass and position it half-way down the nail bed and press it gently for it to stick to the nail. Take care that the fiberglass does not touch the cuticle, leave a tiny space between the cuticle and the fiberglass
• Cut the excess fiber glass with a nail clipper
• Coat the fiberglass with resin starting at the center of the nail and spreading it across the nail with the end of the resin nozzle.
• Spray a resin activator to dry it. Hold the spray a reasonable distance away from the nail so as not to harm the skin around the nails.
• Apply two more coats of resin and spray with activator again to make the resin dry
• Gently file the ends of the fiberglass into shape as well as the one close to the cuticle area with an extension file.
• Gently buff the surface with a white block to remove any scratches and to smoothen it.
• Apply some oil on the fiberglass covered nail and then buff it to high shine.
