NAIL POLISHING PREPARATIONS

NAIL POLISHING PREPARATIONS TIPS

In order for nails to look great after being painted it is important to do a little preparation to get ready. One of the most important things is to properly clean the nails. Remove any old polish thoroughly and ensure that the nail beds are plain. Trying to paint on top of old polish can change the color of the polish and can cause the polish to look bumpy, messy or unkept. These are all things that people try to avoid when polishing their nails. After selecting the perfect color individuals are now ready to begin. It is a good idea to remove any broken or jagged nails and file the nails down until they are nice and even. The clipper can also be used to remove any dead skin and any other problems.

It is important to gather all materials first because once the painting starts the individual will be unable to pick up any papers until the nails have dried. For some people they may have to soak their nails. This is especially true if they have false nails but some people like to soak their hands and get rid of the dead skin that surrounds their hands. When polishing the nails the polish should be applied in thin coats to prevent any bumping up or unwanted bubbles. It is a good idea to put on several coats to help it last and then put on a clear top coat to add additional protection and to help give the nails a little extra shine.
